Thank you for sharing this. As a new writer, I wonder the metrics Medium make use to calculate earnings. Some content with high reads might not even be rewarded while the lowest reads gets some cents. That said, it's a welcome development to ensure Medium is a safe 'haven' for good reads. However, it will be nice to ensure writers are adequately paid for their efforts.
